In this workshop, Tabby Rose and Nate Davis will teach the basics of graphic design and typography for creating accessibility-first UI in games, and show introductory implementation of UI features in Unity including an overview of industry-standard free plugins that can help get you started.

About Tabby Rose

Tabby Rose is a designer, illustrator, and writer based in Toronto. She co-founded Axon Interactive with Jeff Rose in 2014 and they are currently producing their first game, Quench. Tabby is a Toronto Game Jam organizer, an active member of Dames Making Games, a former IndieCade organizer, and an instructor in Game Programming at Humber College.

About Nate Davis

Nate Davis is a graphic designer, photographer, and cat dad from the woods of Pennsylvania. He has been working in visual design for web and print for 7 years and recently transitioned to games as the UI and brand designer for Quench and game designer for Wolf + Rabbit. Please ask him all your burning questions about typography. He loves fonts.
